About
Scope
Since its first edition, Wi-DroIT has focused on drones and their synergy with the Internet of Things (IoT), from remote sensing and smart agriculture to parcel delivery and post-disaster recovery. Today, drones are only one kind of autonomous agent operating in the IoT: ground and underwater vehicles, robot swarms, and software agents driven by learning and foundation models now sense, decide, and act in the same environments, facing the same problems of planning, coordination, communication, and energy under tight constraints.
Yet there is no unified methodology for these systems: solutions remain tied to a specific platform and scattered across the robotics, networking, distributed computing, and AI communities, with few results that transfer from one kind of agent to another. For this reason, this edition broadens its scope from drones to autonomous agents in general, while keeping its focus on algorithmic foundations and experimental validation.
We seek papers that combine algorithm design with testbed implementations, drawing on computer networks, artificial intelligence, distributed computing, security, and signal processing.
